Second: Be focused. The ability to focus, together with a determined mindset, enables someone on a diet to quickly lose those extra pounds. 

Third: Listen as the body speaks. Every person's body metabolism reacts differently to different weight loss programs and plans. Try replacing one program with another to cater for the body's reaction. An exercise regimen must be suitable to one's body, as one may not be able to exercise as rigorously as others would. If walking is all that can be done, then walk- for this is proven the best exercise.

Fourth: Eat more fiber. Fiber is known to get a person full sooner as well as stays in the stomach longer, slowing down the rate of ingestion of food. Fat is moved through the digestive system faster, therefore decreasing the rate of its absorption.

Fifth: Keep away from fried foods especially deep-fried ones as these contain a great amount of fat. It is recommended for those on strict diet to opt for grilled foods instead as these contain little or no fat .

Sixth: Take lots of fluid. Drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day keeps the body refreshed.  Since weight loss depends so much on how the body eliminates its wastes, the body must stay hydrated.

All in all, discipline and consistency are still key to success. The techniques above when done in a consistent way will bring about the satisfaction you crave in your weight loss venture.
